Jono Greening has been the bookies favourite to take over at York City following the departure of their Manager John Askey.
Askey had made it public he was unhappy with the way things were going at York and as a result, the club decided to part company with the man who got City promoted into the National League last season.
Very quickly, Scarborough Manager and former York City star Jono Greening, became the bookies favourite to take over.
But last night, Scarborough fans were relieved to read the following Tweet from their popular boss:
Don’t worry @safc why would I go to a club that treats a well respected manager like JA the way @YorkCityFC have. Disgraceful behaviour. Plus I like to pick my own team and formation
Attached to the tweet was a GIF with the words "The Show Goes On"
