There will be a week of events taking place online.
International Women's Day this year is held on Monday 8th March 2021 but the Coast will benefit from a week’s programme of events. The 'Inspiring Women on the Yorkshire Coast' group have organised a full schedule of workshops, speakers, blogs and inspiring stories to be held online.
The past 2 years events saw a physical event in Scarborough with over 400 attendees however this year we are having to do things differently.
Co-Founder Margaret Inglesant of Inspire UK said
“We're delighted to be able to bring an amazing line up once again from Inspiring Women for International Women's Day 2021. This is our third year now of organising this event and in spite of all the challenges that 2020 and the start of 2021 has brought we are bringing people together with a variety of inclusive business, creative and well-being events. Rather than just focusing on one day we have this year spread out the events over the whole week so that people can enjoy all of the events and not have to pick and choose”
Organiser Kelly Dunn from KD Recruitment says
"Although we have had to move everything online this year, we still feel that we have managed to make the event as engaging and accessible to as many people as possible. We have something for everyone and I personally cant wait for the Facebook live sessions to go out as this is something we haven't done before and are becoming increasingly popular."
Everything is FREE to attend, and you can book online via the website https://www.inspiringwomen.space/iwd-2021-live-events.
The group are also raising money for EVA Women's AID this year and have an online raffle and virtual quiz that you can get involved with and support the charity. Donations can be made through the JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/Inspiring-Women-OTYC
