A Halloween Craft Fair is taking place today at Hackness Village Hall to raise money for Art Therapy Yorkshire.
They are a Scarborough based charity which aims to provide art psychotheraphy to children, young people and adults from the studio which is based at Woodend.
Trudy Holmes, who works for the charity, says that lots of the community are using the charity.
They work together with other service providers, schools, voluntary and charitable organisations to improve standards of mental health in our area. They make applications for funding to enable them to work with vulnerable members of society who could not afford a therapy intervention.
Trudy says that they are a safe place that people can go to talk.
