Parents on the Yorkshire Coast are been warned that their children haven't received water safety training, in school, this year.
As a number of organisations across Yorkshire come together to launch a summer water wise campaign, Tony Peel from North Yorkshire Fire and rescue says the pandemic means they havent been able to do the in-school work that they would normally do in the summer term:
Extra safety equipment is being installed a number of locations in North Yorkshire where there is a higher risk of drowning.
The new Water Wise safety campaign has been launched by a number of organisations accross Yorkshire, this week, to highlight the dangers of swimming in rivers, lakes and the sea.
