This incident happened near to the A165 just after 6.30pm on Thursday.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue say both fire crews from Scarborough responded to a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
Both vehicle occupants were out prior to crews arrival.
Officers carried out an assessment of one driver using an initial first aid kit before the ambulance arrived.
Firefighters made both vehicles safe whilst the drivers were left in the care of paramedics.
