Filey's Tourism and Trade association says the resort is set for a bumper summer season.
Andrew Jenkins is chair of the group, he says the town's busy programme of events makes Filey an easy sell to potential visitors.
Among the events taking place in Filey this year will be commemorations of the 245th anniversary of a major Sea battle off the Yorkshire Coast.
The Battle of Flamborough Head took place in 1779 when American and French vessels battled with the British Navy.
Plans are underway for a big event to mark the 250th anniversary in five years time, an event which it's hoped will see significant interest from America where the battle is regarded as one of their most significant naval victories.
Andrew Jenkins says the team behind the commemoration are doing a great job of growing the event each year.
Filey Bay 1779 Research Group Ltd was established in 2020 for the purpose of raising awareness of the “Battle of Flamborough Head” there is more information about the battle and their plans for this year's event at https://fileybay1779.com/
