A man who sustained life threatening injuries following a collision in Wetwang on Boxing Day has since died and has been named by his family as 51-year-old Douglas Noble.
Paying tribute to Douglas, his family said:
“Douglas was a loving son, a father of two and a friend to many.
“We take solace in the fact that Douglas had spent an afternoon doing what he loved, out riding his bike with his friends.
“He will be missed dearly by his entire family and we ask for privacy while we come to terms with our loss."
It is reported at around 1.30pm, the driver of a silver Kia Rio was involved in a collision with the rider of a red Honda motorbike on the A166 York Road at the junction with the B1248.
Emergency services attended the scene and the motorcyclist, Douglas, was taken to hospital to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries, however he later died in hospital on Saturday afternoon.
His family have been made aware and are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time.
Officers are continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam or CCTV footage from around the time the incident occurred, to please contact the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 203 of 26 December 2025.
