There are positive signs for local tourism in the latest performance monitoring data from Scarborough Borough Council.
The council monitors 50 different indicators on a quarterly basis.
Performance Officer - Sonya Daines - says the latest data is encouraging.
Footfall in Scarborough Town centre is also significantly up in the latest data from the Borough Council.
Pedestrian footfall at the end of quarter three last year was up by two and half million on the figures for the same period 2 years earlier, with 6.4m visits being recorded.
