Residents and friends of Eastfield are being invited to enjoy a special community Christmas celebration on Saturday.
On Saturday December 14th, 2pm until 5pm, there will be entertainment, family activities and festive shopping in and around the High Street area of Eastfield.
The event, led by Eastfield Residents Association and funded by Eastfield Town Council, will provide a range of Christmas themed activities and entertainment in and around High Street in Eastfield. A steel band will be playing Christmas songs followed by The Brass Funkateers playing traditional songs and Christmas hits, and the Elf Choir will be signing round the tree.
Santa’s Grotto will be a key feature of the event, taking place at the More Than Books Library alongside a bustling craft fair with lots of stalls and activities. Stephen Joseph Theatre are partnering with The National Literacy Trust to offer storytelling and book giveaway in the library whilst reindeers will be paying a visit to the library garden! Carers Plus Yorkshire at 120 Westway will be hosting a face painter and tombola to keep parents and children entertained.
The Christmas Market, situated along High Street, will provide a wide range of seasonal festive treats and gifts, further enhanced by Christmas lights and Christmas Tree to add to the festive feel to the day and Coastival will be welcoming children of all ages in their activity tent on the High Street.
Olaf, Anna and Elsa from Frozen will be making a guest appearance at the event, along with stilt walkers and funfair rides.
Eastfield Community Christmas is supported by Eastfield Residents Association, Eastfield Town Council, Eastfield PACT, Carers Plus Yorkshire, More Than Books, North Yorkshire Council and other key partners in the area.
