A further 4,996 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus across Hull and East Yorkshire in the week up to Friday.
The Government’s latest rolling figures, updated on Friday, show the case rate per 100,000 people across the region was 807.4 in the East Riding in the seven days up to Sunday, March 21, the latest weekly data available.
A total of 599,244 new coronavirus cases were recorded nationally in the week up to today, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 20,691,123, with 950 new deaths recorded, making a total of 164,454.
The figures come as coronavirus cases rose by 1m in the last week alone. Figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) based on swap test results from a sample of households put the amount of those with coroanvirus in England at one in 16 during that time.

Government data up to Sunday, February 27 shows that in the UK, 140,830,644 jabs have been given so far, 52,759,213 first doses, 49,352,885 second doses and 38,718,546 boosters.
