There are over 1,000 care vacancies in North Yorkshire with the county council launching a new recruitment push.
The introduction last week of a rule meaning that care workers have to have had both doses of a COVID vaccine to work in the sector hasn't had a big effect of staffing levels in North Yorkshire.
That's according to the county's Director of Health and Adult Services.
Richard Webb says the number of people affected in both council and private run care settings is small.
There are around one thousand vacant care jobs in North Yorkshire. The county council has launched a massive drive to fill the roles which exist in both council run and private settings.
Richard Webb doesn't think the introduction of rules requiring care workers to have had both doses of COVID jab has put people off applying for care roles in the county.
