Dom Tear's late goal grabbed Scarborough Athletic a point at Macclesfield on Saturday.
Boro were under the cosh early on in Cheshire as Alex Brown was forced to head off his own goal-line inside three minutes.
Noah Wadsworth almost bagged his first goal for the Seadogs on ten minutes, after great work from Luca Colville, but instead forced an outstanding save.
Jake Hull made a great blocking challenge to keep the scoresheet blank, at the other end.
However, it was only a temporary stay of execution as Macclesfield led midway through the first half after a rare Ryan Whitley error as the ball squirmed through his hands.
Whitley then parried impressively on the half hour and follow up with another parry five minutes later and was on hand again, a minute before the interval.
The Boro number one blocked again early in the second half, before Harry Green ballooned over for the visitors.
The Seadogs ramped up the pressure and deservedly levelled, ten minutes from time, as Wadsworth set up Dom Tear to smash home.
Whitley had time for one more breath-taking save before Richie Bennett lobbed hopefully from the halfway line but off target.
Jono Greening spoke to SAFC TV after the final whistle:
" Obviously really pleased to get a point and score a goal. Second half to get back into the game. I think probably tail of two halves really. I think first half, we weren't quite on it. We couldn't get our press right. We asked the players at half-time to be much more aggressive in the press. I think second half with a much better team.
"If we didn't get the equaliser, it would've been a travesty, I thought. We decided to make a few changes. I think that helped the team a little bit. Fresh legs at the right time. Phil's, come on, some good player with. Brownie and Purves. He gets a little better space in the middle of a pitch and he puts a lovely little dink in. To Noel who's made a really good overlap and crosses in Dom scores and we deserved it."
Greening also paid tribute to goalkeeper Ryan Whitley's display despite his error for the opening goal:
"He's been absolutely outstanding. And he's a top keeper at this level, in this league. He's a really good keeper. He's going to make mistakes. I think he had one similar last year. I think Hereford away. So it can happen. But the biggest thing for me today was, after that he didn't let him affect him, he made 2, 3, 4, 5 really good saves his kicking got better. You grew more confident during the game and like I said, I think the whole team got more confident as the game went on."
