Confusion Over Filey Little Bus

Filey Town Council says it's not responsible for the town's little bus, and never has been.

The community bus service closed in May and efforts are underway to resurrect the service.

But Town Mayor - Councillor Jacqui Holden-Banks says they've been getting lots of calls about the situation despite not being involved in either the original bus operation or the attempts to resurrect it.

The community bus stopped running in May when it's operator retired.

One local councillor - Sam Cross - is trying to get the service restarted and has taken personal ownership of the bus.

But the Town Council says it is getting lots of calls about the situation, despite not being involved.

Mayor, Jacqui Holden-Banks, says the little bus has never been owned by the town council.

Filey town Council is giving it's support to efforts to find a new operator for the service but says it is not directly involved.
