Temperatures on the Yorkshire Coast look set to stay low this week as the Met Office issues yellow warnings for snow and ice.
Forecasters say temperatures along the coast will hover between 5 Celsius and -1 Celsius this week.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of Ice and Snow for large parts of North Yorkshire and the North East from Tuesday through to Thursday.
Forecasters say:
"Icy patches and snow are possible, and may lead to hazardous conditions Tuesday evening and overnight into Wednesday morning.
Showers, falling as snow inland, will lead to icy patches and hazardous conditions."
The Met Office warn of:
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
