Bridlington Town will be looking to finish their pre-season campaign unbeaten when Hull City Under 23s visit on Saturday.
The Seasiders have won two games and drawn three so far and the young Tigers will be looking to become the first team to beat Bridlington since Mike Thompson took charge.
The hosts go into the game off the back of a 2-2 draw at Muglet Lane against Maltby Main on Tuesday evening.
Although 2-0 up inside half-an-hour through goals from Ali Aydemir and Lewis Dennison, Bridlington couldn’t see the game through, and left Maltby with a draw.
The summer has seen a complete turnaround in terms of management and players at Queensgate.
Former Beverley Town manager Thompson replaced Brett Agnew in the dugout, and he has only retained seven players from the previous season, bringing in 11 new faces.
Whilst Bridlington will be without key players on Saturday, including club captain Matty Plummer, Jack Griffin and Dennison, the new-look side has shown enough promise to suggest they will be capable of giving Hull City Under 23s a good test.
The fans at Queensgate will be hoping to see midfielder Olly Green back on familiar territory after he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bridlington last season and played a key part in their dramatic, last-gasp escape from relegation.
