Bridlington Town picked up a second win in a row to stand agonisingly close to NPL East safety.
Brid raced into a 2-0 half-time lead thanks to twin Josh Barrett strikes.
However hosts Pontefract pulled one back right at the start of the second half.
Benn Lewis fired home from a corner, for 3-1 Brid, but Pontefract made for a nervous ending to the match with a second goal late on.
But Brid held on and boss Mike Thompson spoke to Brid Town TV after the match:
Brid are now only in the bottom four on goal difference.
Thompson's men go to Consett next Saturday in NPL East.
