The Blues beat promotion-chasing Matlock Town 4-1 after a dominant display.
After having much the better of the opening exchanges, Whitby led when on-loan Joe Wheatley fired home on 27 minutes.
Shaun Tuton made it 2-0 three minutes before half-time and ex-Scarborough striker Connor Simpson fired the Blues' third in first-half injury time.
Despite the Derbyshire side pulling one back early in the second half, Aaron Haswell's strike made sure of all three points.
The victory takes Whitby into the NPL Premier's top ten for the first time this season, after battling relegation for most of the campaign.
