Bridlington Town are hoping to hit back after a run of just one win in six.
Denny Ingram's men lost out 5-2 at home to Ossett United on Tuesday.
Ingram spoke to Brid Town TV after that game:
In the second of three home games in the space of seven days, Bridlington Town will face Heaton Stannington on Saturday, at the Mounting Systems Stadium.
Bridlington did pick up a brilliant 2-0 win away from home against Sherwood Colliery prior to the Ossett United game, with consistency now the main problem.
Ingram said:
“It can’t be that far apart from the performance from Saturday (against Sherwood) to tonight (against Ossett).”
“We seem to take one step forward, we took about five steps back tonight.”
Home form in particular has been concerning for the Seasiders, with just a win and a draw from eight games at the Mounting Systems Stadium, with four goals scored and and 14 conceded.
It’s not just in the league, either, as Bridlington lost 1-0 against Trafford in the FA Trophy, whilst they were defeated last week on penalties, so they will need to improve their home form in the next two games.
Saturday’s visitors, Heaton Stannington, earned promotion to the Northern Premier League last season via the Northern League Division One playoffs, after finishing third. In their new division, they currently sit 14th with 19 points after 17 games.
During midweek, they beat Blyth Town 3-1 in the Quarter Final of the Northumberland Senior Cup, whilst before that they picked up an excellent 3-0 win over Ossett.
However, the Stan have been poor away from home this campaign, picking up just five points from eight games, the second worst return on their travels in the division, so the Seasiders will be looking to exploit this weakness.
