The Seasiders were beaten in their first NPL East match of the season.
A goal midway through the second half was enough for West Yorkshire side Liversedge to grab victory over Scott Kerr's men.
It came despite a bright showing from Brid on Saturday at Penrith to progress in the FA Cup.
Brid now know they'll go to Redcar Town in the next round of the cup on 22nd August.
Before that, they host Sheffield outfit Hallam at the HDM Energies Stadium, this coming Saturday.
Kick off is 3pm in their first home game of the season.
