To celebrate the King's Coronation, residents of East and West Ayton have organised a scarecrow trail over the next two weekends.
The event get's underway this morning and is held from 10:30am to 4:00pm before returning on the 6th May.
There will be over 90 scarecrows on show for people to see, with the event starting at the Village Hall.
Chris Bailey, who's part of the event, says that all the community have got involved.
Those who are taking part in the trail will have the opportunity to view the scarecrows and vote for their favourite ones.
Bailey hopes that the brand new event will bring a lot of happiness to the village.
Parking is available via Carr Lane and route maps can be picked up at Ayton Village Hall.
£1 buys 1 map and entitles the bearer to one vote.
