Four people arrested after drugs raid in Scarborough.
On Thursday, 13 November 2025, officers from Scarborough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and Scarborough’s Response Team, in collaboration with specialist units including Intelligence, Operational Support, and British Transport Police, executed a drug warrant on Esplanade Road, located on Scarborough’s South Cliff.
The operation commenced shortly before 11am, leading to the arrest of two women, aged 50 and 38, and two men, aged 38 and 42. They were apprehended on suspicion of possessing a controlled Class A drug with intent to supply. All four individuals are currently in custody as the investigation progresses.
In light of this operation, the premises involved are now subject to a closure order, which will be reviewed at York Magistrates Court on Friday, 14 November 2025, at 2pm. Officers from the NPT are set to present evidence to the court detailing the ongoing issues and concerns associated with the location.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said,
"This operation is part of our commitment to tackling drug-related crime and improving the quality of life for residents in our communities."
They also encouraged the public to contribute to the investigation, highlighting that anonymous information can be provided via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111, ensuring that personal details will not be requested.
