A group of Scarborough medical practices have their final first dose mass Pfizer clinic at Scarborough Rugby Club this coming Saturday and have a significant number of patients they cannot get hold of.
The surgeries are appealing to family members of patients 18yrs or over registered with the following GP Practices to remind them to come forward for a jab.
- Scarborough Medical Group,
- Hunmanby Surgery,
- Filey Surgery
- and Hackness Road Surgery.
They have their final first dose mass Pfizer clinic at Scarborough Rugby Club this coming Saturday and have a significant number of patients they cannot get hold of.
Vicky Matson from Scarborough Medical Group says its important that younger patients come forwards.
The medics say many of the younger patients have old landline/mobile numbers on record which the medical teams cannot get through to or the patients are no longer at the address the surgeries hold for them.
Saturday's clinic is NOT a drop in session and patients need to contact their GP surgery to book an appointment. Vicky says:
"If you have a family member over the age of 18 who is registered with one of these Practices and who has not yet had their first covid vaccine, please ask them to contact their surgery as soon as possible if they wish to have the vaccine. Many young patients will be moving away to University/College in the Autumn. If they attend for their first vaccination this Saturday the Practices will be able to ensure they have their second dose in time before moving away."
The clinic this Saturday is only for those patients registered with those practices listed above. It is not a walk in clinic and appointment times will need to be booked with the surgeries.
