A Filey designer creates an innovative way of raising funds for Saint Catherine’s Hospice during lockdown
Lindsay Mason from Hunmanby has given her latest fundraising efforts for Saint Catherine’s Hospice that personal touch! Through the creation of personalised Lockdown Prints, with all profits going to the hospice.
Lindsay, whose day job is marketing executive and designer for Cura Financial Services in Filey said...
“The response has been great, I think people really recognise and respect the work that our healthcare and key workers have done for the nation over the pandemic, the hospice staff and volunteers being a big part of that care and support in the community.”
“My Mum, Carol Mather, passed away in February 2020 after spending her final days in the care of Saint Catherine’s Hospice. Since her death, fundraising for the hospice has really helped me through the grieving process, and I’m always amazed at the support I’ve received through my fundraising efforts. Myself and my family are so, so thankful to the hospice staff and volunteers, we certainly didn’t ever imagine we would be calling on their services one day. We’re so grateful to have such an amazing facility on our doorstep, serving the community with such care, compassion and dignity through the most difficult of times in people’s lives.”
Susan Stephenson, communications and marketing manager, said:
“We are delighted that Lindsay has come up with this creative lockdown fundraising idea to support Saint Catherine’s. We know how passionate Lindsay is about raising money to help with patient care. It is ideas like this that show fundraising is possible even in lockdown – and mean that we can continue to look after patients and their loved ones at this difficult time. Thank you Lindsay!”
