Driffield Seconds are just behind Pickering after seeing off Scarborough by 15 runs.
Driff made 215/6 from 42 overs, with Adam Barton making 47 and Ben Squires taking 2/42.
Scarborough had a revised 203 from 38 overs to chase with David Snowball anchoring the innings with 63 not out.
However, Boro could only make 187/7 from their allotment.
Malton & Old Malton thumped Cottingham by seven wickets.
After putting their hosts in, Adam Spaven dominated with 4/21 and Matty Webster grabbed 3/48 as Cottingham were skittled for 151 from 50 overs exactly.
The visitors needed only half their overs as captain Charlie Allott fired 51 in their 152/3.
In North Yorkshire South Durham Division Two, Whitby stay second-bottom after the weather won at the Turnbull Ground.
Choosing to bat first, the hosts were bowled out for 242 in the 41st over, with Theo Clarke making 99 and Tom Steyert 47.
Visitors Shildon Railway reached 17/0 in the third over before the rain ended matters and the points were shared.
