North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted by a man using a carrier bag in Eastfield.
North Yorkshire Police have launched a public appeal for witnesses and information following an assault that took place in Eastfield.
The incident occurred on Lingholm Crescent at approximately 5:10 pm on Tuesday the 5th of May, 2026.
According to the police, the altercation involved a man assaulting a woman using a carrier bag.
Officers investigating the incident are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened in the area at the time.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said:
"Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, especially two individuals who spoke with police at the time: a man who spoke with officers on Manham Hill, and a woman who spoke with officers on Lingholm Crescent. Both are believed to have witnessed the assault and may have information that could assist the investigation."
The force is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward to help with their ongoing enquiries.
