Only the weather could thwart our senior Yorkshire Coast cricket sides with two wins and two abandonments.
Scarborough's bowlers were again in rampant mood as they skittled Harrogate for just 124 in Yorkshire Premier North.
James Wainman took 3 for 24, ably assisted by Jack Holt's 2 for 39 as the visitors struggled to 69/5. Piet Rinke then mopped up the tail with 3 for 3 in four overs.
Scarborough stuttered in their reply as they slumped to 18/2. The one constant, though, was teenager Breidyn Schaper, who anchored the innings, posting 45 not out, as Rinke bludgeoned 26 from 16 balls and Prince Bedi helped take them over the line, for five wickets, in the 28th over.
Whitby also enjoyed a commanding victory, over Seaton Carew, at their Turnbull Ground, in North Yorkshire South Durham Division One.
Batting first, opener Theo Clarke was the star with 105. Clarke shared three 50-plus partnerships as Whitby raced to 199/2 then suffered a mini collapse to 199/4. Ron Lyth's 26 from 17 balls, including three sixes, helped give the innings some late impetus and allowed Kai Morris to declare on 268/8, with two overs remaining.
As it was, Whitby didn't need the extra two overs to bowl out their opponents. Tom Steyert stood out with 5 for 51, with Seaton Carew 78/7 at one point. Ricky Hall grabbed 2/39 as Carew crumbled to 153 all out, in the 40th over.
Bridlington were frustrated by the weather as they dropped to second behind Cottingham, in York & District Division One East. Batting first, they made 240/7 from 46 overs with half centuries for Casey Rudd (85) and John Major (57). Patrington made 77 for 2, from 11 overs, before the rain came. Ben Traves got two wickets.
Folkton and Flixton also dropped to second in the Premier Division, without a ball being bowled, against Pickering as the ground was quickly waterlogged. Sessay took advantage to leapfrog them at the top.
