The Blues secured a 1-0 away at Ashton United last night, their 7th point in their last 3 away games.
Whitby Town have very much turned the corner after a disastrous start to the season, lifting themselves off the bottom of the Northern Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Ashton United last night.
The Blues took the lead with a long-range stunner from Priestley Grifiths, spotting the Ashton keeper off his line and scoring from midway inside the home side's half.
Aaron Haswell nearly made it two in the 2nd half but hit the post and the re-bound was cleared.
Shane Bland made some good saves to keep a clean sheet and Jake Day had the ball in the bet but it was judged to be offside.
