Blues were due to kick off 2026 with an away match at highflying Hebburn Town on Saturday, but it's been called off.
The Tyneside outfit are second in NPL Premier currently.
Manager Gary Liddle told Whitby Town TV he's expecting a tough afternoon:
" They've had a great run out. I think they won nine in a row before Stockton. Confidence will be high. They've got a lot of goals, especially at home now. We're under no illusions. It'll be a tough game on a tough pitch. By all accounts, I don't think the current weather we're having, it'll probably help that in any way, but I'm hoping it's on and from what I remember, we had a really good victory there just before Nath left. If we could mirror that in any way, I'd be a happy manager, but I'm under no illusions, it'll be a really tough game and one that we will certainly have to be at our best to get anything from, that's for sure."
Unfortunately, a morning pitch inspection found a frozen pitch and the game was called off around 9.30am.
You can hear more from Liddle, assistant boss Jason Kennedy and Boxing Day's man-of-the-match Donald Chimalilo on the latest Codcast.
