The Blues made it three in three after a dramatic afternoon in Manchester on Good Friday.
The Seasiders took the lead on 17 minutes with Aaron Haswell driving home a deflected strike, in-between Shane Bland had saved brilliantly low to his left then tipped away a goalbound effort from hosts FC United of Manchester.
Matty Tymon then netted his fifth goal in as many games, just after the half hour. It was another chip, identical to last week's goal against Warrington Rylands as he lobbed in Town's second from near the right touchline.
Haswell even managed to outshine that strike, on the hour, however, as he half volleyed a beautiful left-footed goal from the left-edge of the box, into the top-right corner, from a right-wing Layton Watts corner.
But FC responded with two goals in as many minutes, late on. First a headed own goal from Nathan McGinley and a neat finish from ex-Wolves striker Adam Le Fondre.
However, resurgent Whitby clung on for a crucial three points going into their Easter Monday home clash with Blyth Spartans.
