After a goal-less first half, the Nailers led soon after the break with a disputed penalty. Harry Green soon levelled for the Seasiders and substutute Brad Fewster put Whitby ahead after Green turned provider.
But a last-minute leveller ensured the visitors would take home a share of the spoils.
