The Blues play their first friendly, just up the road, on Saturday.
Lee Bullock's men go to Northern League side Marske United.
It's a first run out after an unprecedented season of change.
None of the side that took the pitch for the 0-0 draw with Cleethorpes on the final day of last season will play after leaving the club in the summer.
Shane Bland and Alex Nelson went to Bishop Auckland, Frankie Whelan is now at Spennymoor Town, James Harrison went to West Auckland, Nathan McGinley joined Shildon, Lewis Hawkins and Connor Smith are now at Redcar Athletic, Jarrett Smith went to Morpeth Town, Aaron Haswell to Emley, Jake Charles joined Hebburn Town and on-loan Sunderland duo, Fin Holcroft and Charlie Dinsdale, returned to their parent club.
Only Adam Gell, an unused sub that day, remains in the squad, though youngsters Cal Wilson and Jack Kilpatrick have also remained at the Blues.
Manager Bullock is pleased with his new-look side:
" I just want lads to give their all for the football club. And I'm seeing that so far and I can live with that.
"Whatever happens, I'm not going to go making bold predictions, but I will predict these lads are fit and they want to do well. And at the minute, that's all I can ask.
"I'm coming back from every training session thinking, "Yeah, they've trained hard there."
"They've trained with what majority would expect is reasonable, good standards. They're going a little bit higher and beyond. So early signs I'm really happy and, and they all keen to impress, that's why. But that's my job and Denny's job [assistant Denny Ingram] to not let them dip and not let them get comfortable. We've got to constantly want them to better themselves."
With a number of additional signings imminent, the Blues have already added goalkeeper Jack Norton, defenders Charlie Stirland and Louis Gibson-Booth (ex-Scarborough), winger Stan Hewitt, midfielders Sam Kay, Lucas Reed and Tommy Dowson, plus striker Marley Grant.
Bullock is also expecting a couple of trialists to feature.
