The Blues host Hednesford Town on Tuesday night with goalkeeper Shane Bland set to become the club's second-top appearance maker.
The Blues are looking to record back-to-back victories after Saturday's 4-1 win at Ashton United, which ended a six-match winless run.
Goalkeeper Shane Bland told Whitby Town TV he's targeting top spot but honoured to overtake Dave Campbell tonight as the club's second-leading appearance maker of all time:
"Cam's a legend of the club, and to catch him up at the age I am is a great achievement. Obviously, we're still not there, obviously with the achievement I want, that'll hopefully come in six games time. But yeah, to to round off another milestone and get to this point in my career, it's brilliant. Cam was a person who really helped me settle in.
That would be alongside Dennis Wheeler as well, coming here at 18-year-old and taking the level on and 'cause like I said, back in. Day. It was a, an unbelievable ever still is, but yet to, to be guarded by two great people. There again, especially Cammy, it's quite special. I'm privileged to become like second appearance maker."
Speaking after Saturday's win, Bland told Whitby Town TV he hopes the Blues can make it tough tonight for their West Midlands visitors:
" Yeah, look, they've came up a division. They've stepped up a division. We've been in this division a very long time. And yeah, no doubt they've had a right good go. Obviously. I know that potentially they've got good backing, obviously with a new pitch, et cetera, and good plays in budget quite high.
"So yeah, they've, they're having the right good goal, but I think it's one of those games, if we apply ourselves like we did today, why not? Can we go on a run? And again, it just comes down to consistency."
You can hear more from Shane Bland and Blues manager Gary Liddle on a special Codcast recorded on the bus back from Ashton United.
Kick-off at the Towbar Express Stadium is 7.45pm.
