The Blues stunned Hyde with a superb second half display on Saturday.
Going into the match on the back of a 5-2 horror show after being 2-0 up, last week, in the FA Cup, against another North West side, Ashton United, Whitby could've been forgiven for fearing the worst at Hyde.
Especially after going behind just after the half hour when a corner flew straight in past goalkeeper Jack Norton.
That's how it stayed at the break, but within two minutes, Joey Phuthi levelled in almost identical fashion.
Calum Hickman then notched his sixth goal of the season around the hour, with a powerful finish.
Skipper Stuart Rose made sure, seven minutes from time, as he converted Phuthi's right-wing cross.
It's a 3-1 victory that takes Town up to the top half of the NPL Premier.
