Whitby's Crazy Golf Course is being asked to bring back a celebrated feature.
Take a browse the the petition website Change.Org and you can put your name to many of the days big debates including
- Reinstate Boris Johnson as PM
- SAVE THE BEES: ban the use of chemical pesticides in public spaces & plant flowers instead
- Make Leaving Your Dogs In A Hot Vehicle Illegal!
and now a new petition has been launched to
- Bring back the rocket at Arnold Palmer Putting Course, Whitby!!
The famous rocket feature has been replaced with a new lighthouse prompting petition organiser Andrew Stead to state:
"For many years, a metallic rocket has stood out on the Arnold Palmer Putting Course on Whitby West Cliff, it has recently been replaced by a modern lighthouse.
It is appreciated that time moves on so this petition is not asking for the lighthouse to be removed but for the rocket to be re-positioned somewhere else on the putting course so fans can come and pay homage when attending Alistair's concerts that he regularly hosts in the local area!!"

The rocket has been so famous that it even inspired a song, "The Boy, The Rocket and The World" by local singer/songwriter, Alistair Griffin
In a Facebook post the crazy golf course team say:
"An absolutely beautiful song about our Rocket. Sadly, after many years of use it needed some TLC and so has for now been replaced with a Lighthouse. But the song and video live on ."
You can have your say in the petition at https://www.change.org/p/bring-back-the-rocket-at-arnold-palmer-putting-course-whitby
The Whitby Crazy Golf - Arnold Palmer putting course is currently open daily, weather permitting, from 9:30am with last admittance at 8:30pm.
