Volunteer Course to Assist with Befriending the Lonely Across Scarborough, Filey and Hunmanby
Isolation and loneliness continues to grow as digital connections overshadow real human face to face interaction.
Volunteers across our communities in Scarborough, Whitby and Hunmanby are therefore urgently needed,
Training sessions are being run this week (details below) - to help better understand the impacts of loneliness and how to cultivate meaningful relationships.
Debi Lewis Our Neighbourhood Coordinator for Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Mind explains how this works:
The next training session is running on 16th January from 10am to 1pm at Scarborough library or express interest in the upcoming sessions at www.swrmind.org.uk/work-with-us/volunteer/
And Debi explains a little more about those sessions:-
