Following the sudden cancellation of Bridlington's 1940's festival, local businesses are preparing to welcome visitors to the town today for the replacement event.
The Old Town Association announced last weekend that they had called off the popular 1940's Festival planned for today, but local businesses have come together over the last few days to create an alternative.
Nikita Roberts, who has a shop in the old town, says that the whole community have rallied together to ensure that a replacement could take place.
The festival will see vintage stalls and activities taking place at the local pubs and shops and get's underway at 10am.
They have produced a poster to publicise the new event.

Nikita Roberts says that the replacement festival has gained a lot more publicity because of the community effort.
