Staff at Scarborough's Gallows Close Centre say they are devastated after mindless vandals destroyed a newly erected greenhouse overnight.
Staff at the Center arrived this morning to find all the glass in the greenhouse smashed.
Centre Manager Kimmie Avison says it was a shock.
Kimmie says the green house was donated to the centre and was going to be used to grow food for the community cafe at the site.

The community centre is run as a not for profit community resource, staffed largely by volunteers. Kimmie says it's hard to understand why anyone would take such mindless action.
In a post of social media the centre say
"If anyone has any information or seen anything after 4pm yesterday please get in touch , police have been informed & CCTV is currently been checked.
We believe it to be a group of young people, they may have come home with green anti climb paint on their clothes or even cut themselves which is a bigger concern!.
We feel really disappointed this has happened, all the hard work which goes into offering activities, support, clubs etc... in our community for this to happen.
Soul destroying for the volunteers and staff"
