The flood warnings, issued by the Environment Agency are in effect from 4:15am until 5:30am tomorrow morning.
The first flood warning is for Harbour Road and Floral Pavilion:
High spring tides are expected to cause large waves and spray overtopping on the coast tomorrow morning (30/09/2023). Areas most at risk include The north side of the dock area, properties on Harbour Road and the Floral Pavilion between 04:15AM to 05:30AM on 30/09/2023. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this warning if necessary. Please stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as the expected large waves and sea spray will be dangerous. Areas most at risk include South Pier and Chicken Run Jetty, and adjacent car parks off South Cliff Road. Flooding is possible at the South Pier and Chicken Run Jetty, and adjacent car parks off South Cliff Road between 04:15AM to 05:30AM on 30/09/2023. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this warning if necessary. Please stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as the expected large waves and sea spray will be dangerous.
