Anne "The Governess" Hegerty from ITV's 'The Chase' is to star in Scarborough Spa's production of Cinderella this December.
Scarborough Spa say that the TV chaser will be playing the role of Fairy Godmother in the Tony Peers produced pantomime which will see Cinderella try to win the heart of the dashing Prince Charming, with a little help from her best friend Buttons and the enchanting Fairy Godmother.
The pantomime will run from 7th December 2024 to 1st January 2025 with performances for schools taking place from 6th - 23rd December.
The Rainbows, Brownies and Guides performance will take place on Sunday 8th December at 1pm.
The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts performance will take place on Sunday 8th December at 6pm.
The team behind the production are promising "sensational costumes, sparkling sets and great songs to sing along to!"
Anne Hegerty has been a "chaser" on the ITV game show The Chase since 2010 and was a contestant on the 2018 series of the ITV reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! She also appears on the Australian version of the Chase. She has appeared in various pantomimes in recent years.
In 2022, she featured on the ITV programme DNA Journey, when it was revealed that she a descendant of Robert the Bruce and a distant relative of Elizabeth II.
