Whitby Town's four-match unbeaten run was ended by promotion-chasing Bamber Bridge.
The Seasiders went ahead early on as centre-half Harrison Beeden struck his fourth goal of the season on 16 minutes.
Whitby went in ahead at half-time but their Preston-based hosts responded around the hour mark then the turning point came as Beeden conceded a penalty and Brig had a winner- Beeden was then sent off.
With the man advantage, third-placed Bridge saw out the clash, with Aaron Braithwaite's tame effort as close as Whitby came to a leveller.
