Tears for Fears performance at Scarborough Open Air Theatre this weekend has been cancelled.
The group announced yesterday that they were calling off performances in Leeds, Warwick, and Scarborough.
It follows earlier cancellations of shows in Derby and at Lytham Festival after Curt Smith sustained a serious rib injury.
Posting on social media Curt and Roland Orzabal said:
"We are so disappointed and gutted not to be able to play these concerts. Curt is following doctors orders and is doing everything possible to heal and be performing again soon. "
Yesterday the band said that they were exploring solutions to reschedule the Scarborough performance but an update from the Open Air Theatre today said that:
"Unfortunately due to various logistical and operational reasons this is not possible."
The Open Air Theatre say that all ticket holders will now receive a full refund automatically from their point of purchase, they say to allow up to ten days for this to be processed.
Tears for Fears were meant to be performing on Saturday evening alongside Alison Moyet. The concert was due to be part of the bands "Tipping Point World Tour" featuring new material from their first new studio album in 20 years.
Tears For Fears were one of the most iconic bands of the 1980s, selling more than 30 million albums worldwide with singles such as Shout, Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Mad World, Sowing The Seeds Of Love and Woman In Chains acknowledged as classics.
The team and the open air theatre posted
"We wish Curt a speedy recovery and we hope to welcome Tears for Fears back to the venue in the future."
