The Mayor of Whitby says he's been delighted by the town's Christmas Festival this weekend.
The event included a Christmas market, musical performances and a fireworks display.
Councillor Bob Dalrymple says visitor numbers were strong.

Councillor Phil Trumper was involved in organising the event, he's thanked all the performers who took part on the This is the Coast stage.

The event was organised by Whitby Town Council in partnership with North Yorkshire Council.
Phil Trumper says delivering the event has been a real team effort involving a range of different organisations.
The Town Council have launched an online evaluation form asking people who attended the event to provide feedback about their experience.
