Scarborough Athletic Football Club has launched its brand new adidas away.
The highly anticipated strip features a bold yellow and blue design, drawing inspiration directly from the iconic sand and sea of the famous Yorkshire coast.
The club began the design process with adidas and Pro:Direct back in December. They say their objective was to "create a design that would be instantly Scarborough," ensure players have "serious standout," and provide fans with a "timeless classic to wear with pride".
To mark the occasion, Scarborough Athletic has produced a launch film. The film features players Lewis Maloney (Midfielder), Harry Green (Attacker), Ste Walker (Attacker), and Keiran Weledji (Defender) relaxing on Scarborough beach.

In a creative reveal, they are shown literally digging up a kitbag containing the new kit. Additionally, Rio Allen (Attacker) and Richie Bennett (Attacker) were part of studio shoots, while goalkeeper Ryan Whitley will don a "stunning new sky blue keeper kit" for the upcoming season.
Chris Marson, the Marketing Director for Scarborough Athletic, emphasised the deeper meaning behind the new kit.
"This kit’s more than just a shirt, It’s Scarborough, it’s community, it’s fans coming together to keep football alive here."
He highlighted the unique ownership structure of the club, noting,
"We’re owned by the people who stand on the terraces, and that means everything."

Scarborough Athletic prides itself on being 100% fan-owned, having been built by supporters from the remnants of the former Scarborough FC, which folded in 2007. Despite currently playing their home games away from the town at Bridlington this season, the club maintains that its "heart’s still on this coast".
Supporters worldwide will have the opportunity to purchase the new shirt online via Pro:Direct. Furthermore, the club is offering a unique chance for fans to become an owner of the club for as little as £5, with details available on their official website.
