All the effort put into beating COVID over the last year could be thrown away if people stop following the lockdown rules.
While the COVID infection rate is falling there is a renewed warning from health leaders in North Yorkshire this weekend that the rate could easily increase again if we don't keep following the lockdown rules.
Last weekend saw a 33 percent increase in the number of COVID fines issued in the county as more people breached the continuing lockdown regulations.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS in the county says the situation is still dangerous.

Amanda says the virus isn't beaten yet and there's a danger we could lose all the progress if we've made if we don't keep following the lockdown guidance.
