Staffing levels at Scarborough Hospital have significantly improved over the last year according the Hospitals Chief Nurse.
Speaking at the York Teaching Hospitals AGM yesterday, Heather McNair said a 25 percent staffing deficiency rate for nurses at Scarborough Hospital last year has reduced to 13.8% this year and continues to fall.
Heather says the first intake of nurses from Coventry University's Scarborough campus next summer will help further.
Heather says the change in numbers has been significant over the last year but that the work to improve staffing levels continues.
