Scarborough Sailor, Guy Waites, has resumed his solo round the world yacht challenge.
Guy stopped in Hobart, Tasmania after losing his life raft and emergency locator beacon in a huge storm.
He's now out of the Golden Globe race after missing the January 31st deadline to arrive in Tasmania, but is continuing his challenge and left Hobart yesterday.
Guy says he determined to compete his circumnavigation of the world.

During the stop in Hobart Guy managed to source a new ocean life raft and found a welder to fix the cradle.
Guy says that, despite the challenges, the voyage will continue and says his yacht is in great shape.
Now that Guy is out of the Golden Globe Race his own support team take over responsibility for his voyage and safety. They have launched their own tracking website so that Guy's supporters can keep track of his progress.
