The Scarborough Yacht Club member taking part in the Golden Globe round the world yacht race says he will continue the race despite being well behind schedule.
Guy Waites has made slow progress after suffering a barnacle infestation, he's now reached Cape Town in South Africa, where he's been able to get the boat out of the water to get the barnacles removed.
In an interview with the GGR race team in Cape Town Guy says he will resume racing on Monday
It has taken Guy 101 days to get to Cape Town, which Guy says is 40 days longer than he planned for after his yacht was slowed to a crawl by the barnacles.

In the interview with the GGR team Guy thanked all his local supported for urging him on.
For Guy one of the main frustrations is that apart from the barnacle issue everything else with his yacht, the Sagarmatha, is working fine.
Here is the full interview with Guy from Cape Town.
