Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team were called out yesterday to assist with the search for a lady reported missing from home.
Working closely with North Yorkshire Police – Scarborough Borough, The National Police Air Service, Filey Lifeboat and Filey Coastguard the volunteer rescue team searched corridors of land inland from the coast path both North and South of the town.
Having searched all their assigned area (to the north as far as Cayton Bay) without result the team were stood down and returned to base by 22:15.
They had nineteen team members and all team vehicles deployed for just over six hours.
Investigations by North Yorkshire Police continue.
