A paramedic was winched from the helicopter down to the fishing boat, three miles out to sea, off Scarborough, on Friday.
|
At one point, it looked as if the crew member would be transferred to the lifeboat to be taken ashore, but the paramedic determined that the crew member could be taken ashore by the fishing boat. It was the second of two call-outs involving fishing boats by the lifeboat on the same day. The first one involved an engine fire. The charity's lifeboat was crewed by volunteers. |
