Following a £450,000 revamp, Scarborough's library is set to reopen it's doors to the public today.
The improvements have been made to create a brighter, flexible library with a brand new IT area and community area available for people to use.
New shelving and furniture, device charging points and a brand new community/exhibition space for people to use.
Nicola Dengate is the Area Librarian and she hopes that the new look library will become a hub for the community.
The children's library has been moved to the font of the building in a larger, brighter area with better facilities for children and families.
The library secured £200,000 from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media as well as being back by £250,000 investment from the North Yorkshire Council.
Nicola Dengate hopes that the revamp will show people just how much libraries have changed.
